Chateau Gloria 1999

90 points

St. Julien, Bordeaux, France. 12.5%

Rich, low acid, quite sweet, with mocha smoky oak. A bit Californian.  Very easy to enjoy.

Certainly 1999 is a low acid vintage, but I’ve yet to encounter any wines that show adverse dilution because of the late rain – perhaps I’ve picked carefully, but 1999 is a great vintage for drinking now and over the next 5 years.
