More acid than I expected. A tight classy style. One for the cellar.

The current point score is almost irrelevant this is a wine with surprising potential – more like the aging potential of a classed growth.
Currently it is a tannic, savoury, quite concentrated wine without any sweet new oak.
This has always been good value claret but the level of concentration has improved, even over past good vintages like 2000. It’s still very much a left-bank wine, firm, austere not plummy. I didn’t detect any of the greeness of prior vintages. A wine to watch.
